This curry, also called chole or channa masala, is from the Punjab region of North India and is very throughout the country and in Indian restaurants abroad. Chickpeas are simmered in a sauce of onions and tomatoes flavored with exotic and aromatic spices.
Dietary Notes: Vegetarian. But it is possible to make vegan with substituting or eliminating butter. Gluten free.
